ABOUT
Oscar Sachs Golf Coach
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, I have been playing golf for as long as I can remember. Growing up in New Zealand, I was fortunate to have many great coaches such as James Kupa and Stuart Thompson.
During my junior golf days, I was able to represent the Auckland junior team from 2007-2010. I was fortunate to receive a golf scholarship to America to play at California State University Northridge. Following college, I tried my hand at professional golf, playing the mini-tours in America for 4 years. After my playing days, I began coaching at Porter Valley Country Club in Los Angeles where I taught for 5 years. During my time at Porter Valley, I helped run the Porter Valley Junior academy which helped me find my passion for long-term player development for both recreational and competitive juniors. While my main area of focus is directed toward junior golf, I love helping golfers of all shapes and sizes.
As a player I was an extremely hard worker, I left no stone unturned when it came to things that I believed could help my golf game. I bring that same mindset to my coaching as I am constantly searching for more “tools” to add to my coaching toolbox. I will leave no stone unturned when it comes to helping you with your golf game!
